QONQR: The Geosocial Game of World Domination

Social Gaming has shown explosive growth in recent years. Today, nearly every demographic, from kindergarteners to great-grandmothers, play social games online. In addition, the advent of the smart phone has moved social gaming into the mobile world. However, there are very few applications that couple real game mechanics with location and social functionality.

QONQR (pronounced Conquer) puts the game into location-based, social gaming. It is a true geosocial game.

QONQR players are members of teams, whose focus is to capture territory on the real map of the earth, corresponding to the players' actual location. Players help their team by deploying NANOBOTS, invisible robotic soldiers, into locations they visit. Similar to strategy board games like RISK™, the team having the largest force in any specific geography, controls that location. The team controlling the most locations in a region, controls that region. In turn, those that control the most regions, control the country, and so on.

QONQR is a cross-platform game, with players on iPhones, Androids, and Windows Phones all playing against each other in the same game world.

QONQR is the first in a line of geosocial games from the Minnesota-based independent game studio of the same name. But it's more than that; QONQR is part of a revolution in which games, with stakes that players care about, spill out in a game-layer on top of the real world.

This is geosocial gaming. This is THE WORLD. IN PLAY.
